ILC Conference Approaching

I'm getting prepared for the conference coming up in a couple of weeks. Look under the ILC 2008 Conference course for additional information including itinerary for the Moodle and Joomla workshops. Also, information related to my presentation, Moodle and 21st Century DETAILS: A Constructivist Approach to Teaching, to be posted there.

Please note all attendees, there are forums setup in the course to voice what you would like to cover in the workshops.

A new course has been added - Web 2.0 - Variety Pak. This course will focus on a variety of Web 2.0 tools. What is covered? Everything from Aggregator to Wiki.

Project-Based Learning & Technology - DimDim Web Meeting

A module available for Moodle is the ability to link to a DimDim on-line conference. I'm scheduling a conference for Monday, July 21st at 9:00 EST (click here for link). DimDim is a free web conferencing service that allows users to collaborate live on-line. If this isn't a good time for you let me know. We'll schedule another one.

2 New Tutorials added to Moodle 101

Adding a Podcast to Your Moodle (Topic 12) - This tutorial walks you through downloading, installing, and exporting a recording using Audacity.
Using MyLinks to Upload/Share Files (Topic 13) - This tutorial shows you how to upload and share a file using the MyLinks module.

Are You Familiar With Joomla?

A nice compliment to creating a Moodle site is to have a website that isn't course specific. I've recently discovered Joomla. I'm currently undergoing major renovations and updates to my main website and will be offering a course here in Joomla.

I recently demonstrated building a site with Joomla at our last NJAET meeting and people were blown away with it! Stay tune for further details.

I've seen a lot of people come and go on the Moodle. Now it's your turn to add to it! A discussion forum for Hot Potatoes Quizzes is now open! Add your questions/thoughts about this program. You can even post your quizzes to share with others or get assistance from other members. Come on....jump in ... the waters fine!
